After one pretty good DLC pack in The Zombie Island of Dr Ned and one disappointing one in the form of Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot Gearbox are back with their biggest undertaking yet – an all new DLC pack that actually expands and continues the story of Borderlands – The Secret Armory of General Knoxx.

On paper this third expansion pack is already looking pretty damn good – it fixes most of the issues that fans have been shouting out about since the release of the game...

Gearbox Software have revealed the title for the third piece of Downloadable Content for Borderlands - 'The Secret Army of General Knoxx.'

The DLC is the biggest to date, claim Gearbox, and is set to raise the level cap of the game, allowing players to level past 50 and gain more skill points to spend. It's also touted to include all-new enemies, loot, vehicles and of course new in-game areas to explore.

Gearbox wouldn't be drawn on just how much the level cap will be raised by, but f...

The strain may be starting to show on the Borderlands team after delivering a game and two significant chunks of downloadable content in the space of a few months, as this second Borderlands DLC pack is littered with small issues that keep it from greatness.

Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot opens with a cool-looking video that introduces you to Moxxi in the same stylized manner that the main storyline and Zombie Island were introduced before it.
To summarize what's said, Moxxi's a bit of a nutte...

Borderlands is undoubtedly one of my candidates for Game of the Year. Sadly for me it came out at such a time where I've been dragged away from the game a little sooner than I'd like, but I was more than happy to return to the world of Borderlands - now with Zombies.

The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned - places a new area slap bang onto your quick travel list, and travelling there will reveal a substantial new spooky looking land mass filled with zombies.

Upon arriving you'll run into a friendly...

Genre mash-ups can prove to be disastrous, and few genres have seen as many terrible attempts at combining two unlikely gaming genres as RPGs. We've reviewed a ton of them here on this site, including quite a few bad ones. It's refreshing to see one so well executed in the form of Borderlands - part FPS, part Diablo, part Elder Scrolls.

That sounds like a strange mixture, and that's partially because it is. Borderlands takes its control scheme from first person shooter controls - most simil...
