Tales series getting lots of "surprise announcements" says producer

Hideo Baba, the producer of Namco Bandai's premiere RPG franchise, the Tales series, is teasing some big news for the year.

Here's what he had to say on the Playstation Blog:

Namco Bandai has put together an unboxing video for Europe's Tales of Graces f Day One Edition, which is set to release on August 31st.

Contained within is the game, the original soundtrack, an artbook, behind the scenes videos, DLC which includes Tales of Destiny 2 costumes along with some PS3 themes - all bundled in a special fold-out box.

Tales of series producer wants to aim for simultaneous worldwide releases in the future

It's no secret that Tales has typically always had a hard time in the west when it comes to localization schedule. Tales of Graces f and Tales of Xillia, for example, are only seeing an overseas release well after it's in the hands of Japanese fans.

Tales of Graces f may have already hit North American shores this past March, but that doesn't mean Europeans should be left out.

Despite the long wait, Namco Bandai has finally dated the PAL release of the game for August 31st. To sweeten the deal they've also gone ahead and announced a special "Exclusive Day One Edition" of the game for early buyers.

Tales of Graces f PAL box art revealed, new screenshots

Namco Bandai has sent out a new batch of Tales of Graces f screens, including the final box art for European territories.

Despite the game having released just over a month ago in North America, Europe is slated to see it some time this summer.

New screens show off some of the games anime, in-game cutscenes and battle completion scenes. You can see them for yourself below, or over in the Media Vault.

Did you pick up your copy of Tales of Graces f today? Well if not, you might want to take a look at the game's brand new launch trailerr.

If that doesn't convince you, I don't know what will! Fans of JRPGs should definitely support Namco Bandai here in hopes that future entries in the series might make it overseas as well. After all, it's been nearly four years since western fans saw the release of the last Tales game.

Tales of Graces f Co-op Walkthrough Video

Namco USA hasn't exactly been very forthcoming when it comes to Tales of Graces f media. We'll take what we can get though.

They've released a new 7 minute video via their own Facebook page. In that 7 minutes, you can watch Namco community manager Rich play through a bit of the game with some of the developers who worked on the localization.

Tales of Graces f is due out in just a few days for North America, and this summer for Europe.
