Borderlands 2's Mr. Torque's Campaign of Carnage Trailered, Screened, out now

Gearbox and 2K Games have released the detail on Borderlands 2's latest DLC back, Mr Torque's Campaign of Carnage.

There's more weapons, quests, locations and of course more mentally unstable characters filling the world of Pandora for you to interact with. It's out for all three formats today.

Borderlands 2 ships five million copies worldwide

Borderlands 2 shipments have topped 5 million units according to 2K during their quarterly investors meeting.

Having seen its release back toward the end of September, these numbers make it one of the most successful titles in 2K's history. Exact sell-through to consumer numbers were not shared, but we do know that the game managed to shift over 1.4 million units in the US during the month it released.

Borderlands Legends coming to iOS

Gearbox has revealed Borderlands Legends, a new entry in the franchise coming to iOS devices. A spin on the original game, Legends is played from a top-down perspective. Rather than implementing co-op, control over all four vault hunters has been given to the player. You'll need to alternate between each during randomly generated missions and boss battles, and each chacracter can be developed to your liking with a plethora of skills and weapons available.

Gearbox sure are quick with this DLC business - after putting out their fifth class for Borderlands 2 a week early, they've now revealed the first campaign add-on for Borderlands 2 - which will be out next Tuesday, the 16th.

The DLC will be available for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 simultaneously, and invites players to meet a new character, Captain Scarlett (sadly not this guy), who is a pirate queen of so...

It's not uncommon to find unexpected treasures hidden deep within the files of a game. The latest "victim" is of course Borderlands 2, which saw the release of its Mechromancer DLC the other day.

Hidden within the files is evidence of the game's next set of downloadable content: Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate Booty.

My time with Borderlands 2 has been something of a rollercoaster ride. I spent well over 100 hours with the original, which was undoubtedly the most pleasant surprise of 2009. As such, I was massively excited for the sequel - and found myself surprised by how my response to the game lurched about so readily before settling.

For North Americans, Borderlands 2 will be hitting shelves tomorrow, while Europeans will have to wait until the end of the week.
