Tales series surpasses 15 million units shipped worldwide

The recent release of Tales of Xillia 2 pushed the worldwide shipment total of the series over 15 million. The franchise has celebrated consistent success in Japan since its creation in 1995, known as one of the more prominent JRPG series.

Namco Bandai has shipped 480,000 copies of Tales of Xillia 2 since its release last month. The company expects more success with their Vita remake, Tales of Hearts R, which will launch in Japan during the first half of 2013.

Some folks have managed to grab Tales of Xillia 2 early, ahead of its Japanese release, and uploaded the game's full opening for all the Internet to see.

Ufotable, the same animators behind the original Tales of Xillia and the more recent Fate/Zero, have crafted yet another gorgeous bit of footage for the new title. Ayami Hamasaki's "Song 4 U" is the game's theme song.

Namco Bandai has uploaded eight more clips detailing Tales of Xillia 2.

This week's videos feature a look at the upcoming Code Geass and Madoka Magica DLC, as well as Gaius, Musee episodes and a new commercial.

Again, these likely contain spoilers, so if you're saving yourself for November 1st - or a potential western release - you'd best not watch them quite yet.

Namco Bandai has made more Tales of Xillia 2 media available ahead of release.

This time we visit Milla and Jude's character episodes, as well as a battle video for Gaius. Also included is the newest TV spot, which has begun airing in Japan.

As usual, the videos contain spoilers, so if you're looking to keep the game fresh, it might be a good idea to avoid watching them for now.

Namco Bandai may have recently released a batch of character videos for their upcoming Tales sequel, Tales of Xillia 2, but that hasn't stopped them from churning out even more.

These videos show off the already revealed characters, Rowen and Elise, as well as new playable ones. This includes the original game's Gaius, Musee, and Maxwell. Check them out.

Famitsu Details Tales of Xillia 2

Famitsu has a nice little info dump this week on Tales of Xillia 2. Gaius and Muse are returning from the first game, but there are also some fresh faces.

Ridou is a doctor of Clanspia Company. Chronos is the third spirit following Origin and Maxwell. The Arosal Orb is replacing the Lillial from the first game and theere's a new side quest called Cat Dispatch.
